Role: Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote 4 days per week, travel to Nottingham 1 day per week
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday
Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure team in Nottingham.
This role is 4 days remote and 1 day working from Nottingham.

What the successful person will need for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Microsoft Entra ID
• Scripting in PowerShell
• Experience in Infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform/ARM/Bicep
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience in networking LAN and WAN
• Experience with AD
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Industry-recognised Microsoft Azure certification would be desirable

What you will be doing:

• Working in partnership with stakeholders to design scalable and efficient cloud solutions based on Azure services
• Implementing, configuring, and maintaining Azure infrastructure components, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Establishing and maintaining monitoring solutions for Azure resources, analyse performance metrics, and optimising configurations to enhance overall system efficiency.
• Enforcing security best practices and compliance standards, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security
• Responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and provide timely resolution for cloud-related problems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address system outages or performance issues
• Implementing load balancing, caching, and content delivery solutions to ensure high availability and performance
